I genuinely like the website, but was really put off by the fact that you have to subscribe in order to do a lot of searches, or even read the articles. After doing about five or six searches, the search window became inactive, and I got an annoying nag screen telling me I had to login/buy in order to get unlimited access. I got round that problem by closing the search window and starting a new search. It didn't seem to mind me doing that, but after doing it three or four times it had me glaring at the monitor in frustration. All in all, Visual Thesaurus is a very handy website, and brilliant for the online generation, but I found the fact that I have to subscribe to use it regularly a major turn off. It turned a potentially useful tool into something that I'd use only when writer's block had kicked in and
