The concerns of the 21st Century are Global ones; the generation in our classrooms today must learn about, explore, and discuss these problems not only with one another but with their peers throughout the world. The Internet makes this type of dialogue possible in every classroom in the U.S. European Schools are well on their way to this goal as well. In order to make this a reality in every classroom in the United States the teacher in each classroom much be knowledgeable and a user of technology; TeacherNet makes this happen in the preservice phase of teacher training.
