Willoughby The executive committee of the Special Interest Group on Computer Personnel Research (SIGCPR) at the June 1970 annual conference had some difficulty in making plans for the organization because of a lack of knowledge of the abilities and needs of its membership. to conduct a membership survey. As a result a committee was established The committee was composed of L. Allan Wright The membership survey (Chairman), Robert Dickmann and Theodore C. Willoughby. committee prepared a questionnaire. The questionnaire together with a letter from Chairman Malcolm Gotterer was mailed to all SIGCPR members by the New York ACM office. Returns were mailed to Willoughby. 85 questionnaires were return- ed of the 375 mailed. appendix A. Copies of the letter and questionnaire are shown in The questionnaire was designed open ended to increase the information in the responses. Most responders took full advantage of this. The resulting in- formation will be of considerable value in planning future SIGCPR activities.
