User Centered System Design is a collection of 22 essays by 19 contributors writing individually and in various combinations. The book grew out of the Human-Machine Interaction project at the University of California, San Diego in 1984. (Its title alludes to the locus of the project at UCSD.) User Centered System Design represents the culmination of the collaborative efforts of the individuals who participated in this project.
