Existing CHDL a r e surveyed and the features of t h e s e languages a r e pointed out. A table lists the a a m e s of CHDL~ the authors, and the r e f e r e n c e s . It also points out what language each CHDL is adapted from and r e p o r t s the status of the implementation of t h e s e languages. Suggestions for o v e r c o m i n g the difficulties of using CHDL for c o m p u t e r - a i d e d s y s t e m / l o g i c design a r e given° + This work is supported by the City University of New York Faculty R e s e a r c h P r o g r a m under Grant No. 10597.
