The text is also intended to be a thorough guide to planning, content and methodology for those teaching about computers at any level higher than grade 6. The result of trying to satisfy so many diverse needs is a text that barely acknowledges some of the n e e d s and fully satisfies none. The author's attempt to satisfy all readers results in such unusual juxtaposition as his explaining that BASIC is a programming language, then three sentences later stressing the importance of educators informing computer manufacturers of their software and hardware requirements. The first of three sections, "Computer Science in the Secondary School Curriculum", is the best. Within this section the reader will find clear, concise statements of facts of which
