Journals ACM SIGCUE Outlook Volume 9: Special Issue

This paper describes one attempt to promote and extend the use of the computer to enhance instruction in the social studies at the secondary level, through simulation and data-base inquiry. This dissemination effort involved the resources of federal, state and regional projects. The effort resulted in the training of 200 teachers, and the development of several computer-based curriculum units.
