From the Editor Joseph A. Konstan, Editor-in-chief chi-Bulletin-Editor@acm.org Parting Thoughts Last month I wrote about the changes underway with SIGCHI Bulletin. In short, SIGCHI s "society news" will move on-line to a Bulletin section of the www.sigchi.org website; a couple of columns (notably "HCI and the Web" and "Book Reviews") will become part of interactions magazine, some columns will continue on their own websites, and others are wrapping up as their authors and editors move on to other ventures. This month, I want to take "editor s prerogative" to offer a few personal thoughts about the people I ve worked with since becoming editor nearly four years ago, about the Bulletin, and about SIGCHI as an organization. I want to start with the people because they are really what all of this is about. When I took over editing the Bulletin, I inherited a bunch of desktop publishing templates, a handful of web publishing scripts, and a set of submitted articles. But the only "inheritance" that really mattered was the set of people who graciously accepted me a Bulletin novice as their new editor. Several people deserve special mention. A trio of editors/columnists have stayed from that beginning
