OURANOS is a collection of programs that create userdefined 230-word vocabularies, and allow intelligent user-computer conversations using these vocabularies. Moreover, there are English and German versions of OURANOS, and any situation developed in one language can be translated and further developed in the other. Situations consist of facts, which may be user-entered, or derived from propositions. Individual facts are attributes or relationships describing one to three objects, modified by tense, negation, and probability.
