Three groups of requirements were considered in this session: Object-Oriented Programming or more specifically, the mechanisms of inheritance and polymorphism. General References Finalisation Experience of object-oriented programming amongst the majority of delegates was fairly limited, so rather than attempt to assess the value of object-oriented mechanisms in themselves attention was focussed on their potential impact on the real-time requirements. The session began with a brief introduction of the requirements, and of the possible strategies for satisfying them in Ada 9X, followed by a general discussion.
