¢ W h a t is the role of computer technologies in the modern communication systems? ¢ W h a t can be a role of computer communication in sharing of democratic value between West and East? Options for computer (and other) demonstrations will be provided. The cultural program includes a sightseeing pilgrimage to the masterpieces of the old Russian church architecture on Kizhi and Valaam islands. As the boat will sail along its rout the passengers will face majestic vistas of the Russian North. W e hope that these unique landscapes and the isolation of our boat from all mundane affairs will help to bring creative atmosphere and philosophic mentality on its board. The atmosphere and mentality of that kind is a necessary prerequisite for touching the most profound problems of Computer Science education. The Program Committee assumes that Computer Science encompasses more than just a field of Science, bordering on something close to Philosophy. Therefore it seems suitable to discuss h o w to educate not only the would-be high-priest of Computer Science, but firstly those w h o will remain its laymen and part-time users. It is supposed that various Interest Groups might be formed.
