Journals ACM SIGAPL APL Quote Quad Volume 20 Issue 4

We discuss the development of several interconnected computer systems designed and built for a manufacturer of finished jewelry. Our approach will be two-fold. We describe how the company uses APL-based computer systems to analyze pricing issues and handle the manufacturing process. We show how the system has been developed by describing what techniques have been employed and what tools have been created and used. The purpose of this paper is to show how an APL application development system can be used to build continually evolving interactive computer systems in a combined sales and manufacturing environment.
