Some types of graphics software lend themselves to an automated form of quality assurance (QA) that greatly increases productivity and confidence in product quality. The techniques described below allow automated checking of graphics software output with adjustable error tolerances. In my own instance, I am able to automatically test the accuracy of my graphics product with much higher reliability than I had previously attained with ad hoc techniques, especially through the use of fuzzy comparisons described below.
