This article gives an overview of the graphics development that has taken place over the last 25 years at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF, Reading, UK). ECMWF The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts is an independent international organization, supported by 24 European states. The objectives of the centre include the provision of medium-range forecasts to the meteorological offices of its member states and cooperating states, maintaining a data archive, assistance in advanced education and assistance to the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) in implementing its programs.
