ACM is an international organization. In October of 1992 ACM opened its European Service Center in Brussles to better serve the needs of the European community. The ACM administration would like to enhance the level of technical activity in Europe and increase the interaction with European computing societies (there is a large number of such societies throughout Europe and indeed throughout the world). INTERCH '93 is viewed by ACM as a leading example of the sort of conference that can lead to increasing such activity and communication.
