The curriculum work is the first collaborative effort between ACM, AIS and DPMA . After a brief description of the background and current task force activities ar e presented, the recommended courses are briefly listed and described . Background After extensive discussion and effort ACM, AIS and DPMA agreed to collaborate an d form a joint task force to prepare a recommendation report on a new mode l curriculum for infoiulation systems . Work was carried on by several individual s while the societies were working on their joint agreement . The first working meeting of the group was given by DPMA in Chicago in February 1994 . ACM's '82[1 ] and DPMA's '90[2] documents served as a starting point
