My knowledge of the technical aspects of the machine is nil. I have been on the receiving end of computing services, so I guess that makes me a "user v'. Thus, I can briefly occupy the enviable position of speaking in generalities about an area in which I know few technical specifics. I think some people call it being an expert~ But, since I certainly don't qualify as an expert, I would qualify as having been a "fortunate user". I had the good fortune to enjoy the counsel of an individual with computer expertise who also understood the environment in which a medical school faculty member labors. The luxury of this technical counsel negated (or at least I permitted it to) the necessity for me to learn another foreign
