D i c k e y Some Computations on Factorial A t some of the recent A P L conferences there have been several exciting pieces of software distributed in the software exchange. It was thought that such programs could be made available to many throughout the year, and not just during conferences. A t Waterloo, there is a machine whose network address is watservl.waterloo.edu (also known as 129.97.129.140) that currently functions as a file server for people on the campus of the University of Waterloo and some of this software has been installed there. But " w a t s e r v l " is also available for anonymous "ftp" from remote sites. This means that users who have access to that portion of the net with this form of file transfer protocol (tip), might be able to reach this "watservl" and obtain copies of the ~oftware that is filed there. h is hoped that eventually, there will also be a "mail server" that will also provide the same range of software to those who have e-mail access but
