This paper describes the design, implementation and check up of a non-trivial Ada® program involving tasking and generic packages in the context of an evaluation of the VAX Ada compiler and Ada Programming System Environment. The exercise took place at the end of 1985 at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN).
