Enzyme Database Available Online The Roberts Restriction and Modification Enzyme Database is now available on the DECsystem-10 and will be regularly updated approximately once each month to insure that the most current data is always available to research investigators. This database contains a list of all known restriction and modification enzymes, and for each enzyme, a list of isoschizomers (if any), the nucleotide sequence recognized by the enzyme, the type of endonuclease, and any commercial sources. Since 1974, Dr. Richard J. Roberts of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in Cold Spring Harbor, New York has been compiling and maintaining this database, having discovered many of the earliest known enzymes himself. New enzymes are added to the database as they become known to Dr. Roberts, either through personal communication See Enzyme D V 40 CHARMM for Molecular Simulations by B. Brooks, Ph.D., DCRT & R. Venable, FDA The Division of Computer Research & Technology is pleased to announce the general availability of a molecular simulation software package. The system, CHARMM (Chemistry at HARvard, Molecular Nechanics) is a research program developed at Harvard for the energy miJlimization and dynamics of macromolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids in vacuum, in solution,
