Educational software forms an integral part of the recent teaching methodologies. A good software not only helps students understand the underlying principles more easily, because of the possibility of personalized attention, but also develops in them a sense of making logical deductions and inferences. Enz_Kin (version 1.0) is a time-dependent animated simulation software for teaching enzyme kinetics developed by the author. It is aimed at sensitizing the students to the processes involved in the enzyme catalyzed reaction with reference to their kinetics only. The software in its preliminary evaluation studies has proven to be a real success as regards the mental perception of the subject matter. It is hoped that proper use of this software as a teaching aid will develop intellectual skills in the students.
