EDUCATION Education FORUM and the World Wide Web It is never easy to interrupt the flow of life to write this column, although it is (mostly) enjoyable. Never is it more difficult than at this time of year. It just doesn't seem right or proper to ignore the outdoors in the Rocky Mountains on a day like t o d a y - - w a r m , dry, and clear. Just yesterday I was dropping down the east slopes of the Bridget mountains after a hike to the ridge, returning to the vehicle through a meadow of waist-high grass and fragrant alpine flowers, when I heard the familiar t h u m p t h u m p of a mule deer bounding off to m y right. I looked up and into the eyes of a trophy-sized five point buck in full velvet as he paused to trade appraisals before slipping over a rise and out of sight.
