These notes describe m y experiences migrating two applications which had not had an altogether Irouble-free past life to the new release. Four manuals are provided - - a Users Guide in two'volumes (Volume 1 is o f general applicability while Volume 2 deals with character.mode interfaces, A P I 2 4 emulation and writing auxiliary processors), a L,'mguage Reference volume and a Windows Interface volume. The appearance is much improved by changes of typeface, and the manuals now stay open on the desk. Installation instructions are provided for installation either over Release 6.3 or alongside - - I chose to do the latter. Application Conversion 1 The first application is a Usenet off-line mail/news reader which does a lot of native file manipulation.
