Siviter@vax.sbu. ac.uk Abstract In terms of Computer Uses in Education , section 1. of this paper summarises the author s progress and intentions in the area of Computer Assistance for Managing Educational Resources , which includes i) the development of Courseware Management Systems and ii) collaborative attempts to specify a Framework for Open Courseware . Section 2. of this paper summarises the author s more speculative work under the heading of Computer Assistance for Managing Collaborative Educational Processes . In terms of Computer Science Education , this paper refers to courseware implementations in the areas of network simulations and techniques for systems analysis and design. large-scale courseware. HyperCourseware tools and templates provide a range of automated and semi-automated facilities including the automated generation of courseware structures, multiple active views of those structures, navigation facilities, etc. Use of these tools and templates liberates courseware developers from re-inventing many generic features and allows them to concentrate their skills on instructional design. HyperCourseware systems are available on Macintosh and PC platforms [5,6] and are
