Orth's Domino A d i n FaUcoff This note presents an A_PL routine for computing the well-known Walsh functions [1], which are of some importance in such various applications as signal processing, pattern recognition, approximation theory, etc. These, the first four (4) of which are depicted below, are orthonormal functions on the unit interval (0 < X < 1) which take on only the two values :t: 1. Note that in our notation (see [2]) the K-th Walsh function has exactly K sign changes in the interval.
