Automating Software Design is a compendium of submissions from the Proceedings of the Workshops on Automating Software Design held at AAAI 1988 and IJCAI 1989. The articles have been expanded from their previous, workshop limited, lenghts. The book consists of an introduction, 24 articles in six sections, and is over 650 pages long. Each section is introduced by a roadmap which overviews that section and helps to track the flow of topics through the collection.
