We get together periodically, and agree to disagree, and learn from each other. This is another example of that. We interact so rigorously and regularly that people have been led to ask the question: what is the difference between the multithreading community and a Boy Scout troop? And the answer, of course, is that a Boy Scout troop has adult supervision! So with that in mind, we have assembled a tentative Boy Scout troop here, and for the next hour, and only that hour, I will pretend to be an adult. And our panelists today are Anant Agarwal from MIT; Bill Dally, also from MIT; Anoop Gupta from Stanford; Greg Papadopoulos from MIT; and Burton Smith from Tera.
