The fact that 150 of these came from outside Canada shows that Toronto would be a good candidate if the APL community were to decide to stick to the same conference location every (or every second) year. I have experienced a similar tendency in a smaller scale in Germany, where the meetings of the APL2 users' group attract consistently larger audiences if held in Frankfurt.
