M E M B E R S AT WO R K An Animator at Intel Cover Editor Hans Westman has interacted with numerous ACM SIGGRAPH members over the past year as he has sought incredible images for the Computer Graphics covers. He s been intrigued by the stories told by those working in the field and felt that all readers could benefit from the experiences of others. Hence, we introduce Members at Work this issue and invite readers to contribute brief articles on their daily efforts to succeed in the exciting field of computer graphics and interactive techniques. My first production job came as a lead animator for Pacific Title|Mirage on the Columbia Pictures production, The Nuttiest Nutcracker, and I went on from there to work as a senior artist for Mattel creating 3D animations for the Web.
