For the time being, updates will continue to be published on the usual schedule, but the complete Matrix will not be published. The Matrix has been appearing in the May-June and November-December issues every year. In the past, whenever the complete Matrix was published, a significant effort was made to contact every one of the entries, an exercise that frequently took many hours over a period of two months. By contrast, for this issue, letters were sent to all the entries, including the information we had for them last, and asking them to contact us either with any updates, or if they wanted their information included even if there were no updates. Thus, in this issue, most of the entries that are included have been updated; a small number of developers requested that they be included even though there were no updates to their information.
