His group's interests cover the broad general category of Design Environments, and include the development of design (and design data) management, library management, process characterization, and technical documentation. His career in IC Research and Development and VLS[ Design Automation includes long stints at Texas Instruments and RCA. After developing numerous CAD tools at TI. he managed the development of synthesis tools, including layout compaction, and procedural RAM and PLA generators. Later. at RCA, he
