The outcome of any system design effort is typically assumed to be a function of the user's requirements specification. This study attempts to test the general hypothesis that the designer's psychological profile has a measurable impact on the system being designed. A simple experiment was designed and carried out to test the hypothesis and though the limited sample size prevents a strong statement of results, the hypothesis appears to be supported.
