ORGANIZING A STATE CAMPAIGN OF PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION General Session of the American Public Health Association, Rochester, N. Y., September 8, 1915 IT IS unnecessary to argue before the American Public Health Association as to the importance of public health education as a factor in the prevention of preventable disease. The placing of this symposium upon the program shows what our officers think of the subject, and the size of the audience which has gathered to discuss it indicates that the members and guests of the Association are of.the same mind as to its significance. Read over this list of sub-titles indicating some of the features of public health education which are discussed by Professor Winslow in this article: "The Monthly Bulletin," Special Bulletin and Circulars," "The Newspapers as a Medium for Public Health Education," "Lecture Service," "Exhibits," and "Mobilizing the Community for Public Health." creased from 24 to 1,228, sanatoria, hospitals and day camps from 115 to 527, dispensaries from 19 to 395.
