APA Creates Forum on Integrated Care

APA Creates Forum on Integrated CareAPA members interested in learning more about integrated care and how it relates to psychiatry are invited to join a new electronic forum created by APA's Council on Healthcare Systems and Financing. “Integrated care” refers to treatment-delivery models in which physicians work together to coordinate their patients' care. Examples of integrated care models are patient-centered medical homes, accountable care organizations, medical neighbors, and health homes. There are about 50 APA members and staff participating in the electronic forum so far. It is being staffed by Karen Sanders of APA's Office of Healthcare Systems and Financing. More information is available by contacting Sanders at (703) 907-8590 or ksanders{at} « Previous | Next Article »Table of Contents This Article Psychiatric News January 7, 2011 vol. 46 no. 1 14 » Full TextFree ClassificationsAssociation News Services Email this article to a friend Similar articles in this journalSimilar articles in Web of Science Citing ArticlesLoad citing article informationCiting articles via Web of Science HomeAboutCurrent IssuePast IssuesAll APPI JournalsSubscribeClassified AdsPermissionsContact Copyright © 2011 American Psychiatric Association.
