Quark-antiquark contribution to the hadroproduction of ψ in the color-singlet model

Quark-antiquark contribution to the hadroproduction of ψ in the color-singlet model We consider the contribution to ψ hadroproduction due to the elementary subprocess q q ¯ → ψ GG . The color-singlet nature and observed spin-parity of the ψ are incorporated and the normalization of the cross section is predicted by the ψ wave function at the origin as measured in the leptonic ψ decay. We expect this process to dominate the difference in ψ production from particle versus antiparticle beams. The energy dependence of ψ production as well as distributions in x F and P T are predicted. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Physical Review D American Physical Society (APS)

Abstract

We consider the contribution to ψ hadroproduction due to the elementary subprocess q q ¯ → ψ GG .
