INTRODUCTION</h2> Students’ personal epistemologies, their understandings of the nature of knowledge, knowing, and learning , influence their success at learning and their approaches to learning in science and mathematics. Although many researchers agree upon the importance of students’ epistemologies to their learning, there is some controversy on the form of epistemologies in students’ minds.
