The present volume contains the notes of the lectures delivered at the âFifteenth Training Course in the Physics of Strongly Correlated Systemsâ held in Vietri sul Mare (Salerno, Italy) in October 2010. It also contains contributions by some of the participants, who delivered seminars in the afternoon sessions. Following the tradition of previous years, the meeting was devoted to the training of young scientists in one of the most intriguing fields of condensed matter physics: strongly correlated systems. The intent was to bring together for two weeks four senior and about thirty junior researchers in a close location with an informal atmosphere, paying special attention to foster the active participation of the young researchers. The course consisted of four lectures every morning, held by Professors Ole K. Andersen, Adrian E. Feiguin, Hans R. Ott, Michael Potthoff, and of afternoon activities (seminars delivered by the junior researchers, solving of specific problems, round table on hot topics, hands on training on relevant numerical issues exploiting the well equipped computer room of the IIASSâ¦) aimed principally at promoting discussions between the attendees and the lecturers. The outcome of this type of course was a significant interchange of ideas among the participants
