Dr. Poore is undoubtedly one of the world’s leading experts in marine crustaceans and has had a long and distinguished career in crustacean biology. Renowned in particular for his research on the systematics of isopods, amphipods, thalassinideans, and other decapods, he has published hundreds of papers, and inspired and mentored many students. Furthermore, Dr. Poore has served The Crustacean Society well and is a continuing example of what constitutes a dedicated and productive member of the society and the carcinological community as a whole.
