Introduction: A Pentecostal Perspective on Biblical Perspectives It seems as if for Pentecostals the issue of conversion is fairly self explanatory and not burdened with too many questions. This may be reflected in the fact that there is no article on conversion in the Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements’ nor in a book like Pentecostals from the Inside Out? But hardly any Pentecostal would seriously doubt the importance of the topic. It is mirrored in a lot of Pentocostal preaching and songs.3 In some of the more systematic presentations of Pentecostal theology, conversion is defined very much along the lines of evangelicalism.
