British readers, especially, will appreciate the separate listings for the college libraries in Oxford and Cambridge. The volume lists not only works by G. and studies on him but works by Portuguese and foreign authors known to him and works by Portuguese authors printed outside Portugal between 1501 and 1550. Id., 'Livros impress os em Portugal no seculo XVI existentes na Biblioteca Nacional do Rio de Janeiro', BBUC, 34, 2, 1978-79: 141-225, catalogues the 345 titles extant in that library according to the S.T.C. format. In the same vein is R. E. Horch, 'Livros quinhentistas portugueses existentes no Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros da Universidade de Sao Paulo - Brasil', ib., 227-42.
