GENERAL NE new journal has appeared: CCult, published by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura of Madrid, is to concern itself with I tala-Spanish cultural relations. Two journals have changed their names: beginning with vol. vi (1951), BICC has become Thes and is to deal mainly with linguistics and the period of the Renaissance; and CLi, as from January, is to be called RLit and in expanded form will cover the whole Hispanic literary field, past and present. E. B. Williams contributes an 'American Bibl. for 1950: Spanish Lit. from I500-I700', PMLA, lxvi, 1951. F. Maregalli has written a specialized mono­ graph, La lett. spagnola nel secolo decimosesto.
