The book under review claims to belong to the third category, with the editors emphasizing that the volume seeks to “juxtapose rather than compare” (3). However, the book is a random collection of essays, with individual authors having no idea about what is being juxtaposed alongside their contributions. The editors also fail to explain how juxtaposing these essays helps draw new conclusions and generate fresh knowledge about Indian and Chinese theories and methods of warfare.
