Decision The Court ruled that the employee was entitled to compensation for peri- ods during which the employee was on call but it need not necessarily be at usual rates since the employee could take on other remunerated activity during the stand-by time JUDGMENT X.(Klager) arbeitete vom 15. Januar bis zum 9., eventuell 17., Oktober 1996 als Handlanger beim Eisenlegerbetrieb Y GmbH (Beklagte). Nach Beendigung des Arbeitsverhaltnisses machte er geltend, die Arbeitgeberin habe ihn weniger Stunden arbeiten lassen, als ihm der Gesamtarbeitsvertrag garantiere. Er verlangte, die Differenz sei mit dem normalen Stundenansatz zu vergiiten, und klagte bei der Gewerbekammer des Seebezirks auf Zahlung von Fr. 17,987.65. Die Gewerbekammer hiess die Klage am 11. Februar 1997 im Betrag von Fr. 1,834.70 gut. Der Klager rekurrierte sodann ans Freiburger Kantonsgericht, das ihm am 6.
