Also, Gorbachev relaxed his média policy not in 1985, but after April 1986, following the Chernobyl' nuclear disaster (p. 158). AH t h e s e critical remarks do not diminish the value of this book a s a well-argued and highly provocative theoretical contribution to the study of Poland's économie develop- ment.
