Flugblatt und Drama der frühen Neuzeit weisen zahlreiche Berührungspunkte auf. Sie bestehen aus Aufführungsberichten, aus wechselseitigen Zitaten, stofflichen Parallelen und gemeinsamen Präsentationstechniken von Bild und Text. Die Studie führt in ihrem ersten Teil Belege für die Nachbarschaft von Flugblatt und Drama an und nennt in ihrem zweiten Teil Gründe für die aufgezeigte Affinität, die in gemeinsamen Autorschaften, der Marktbezogenheit, theatralen Vertriebsformen der Bildpublizistik und nicht zuletzt in der Wirksamkeit der Theatrum Mundi-Metapher zu suchen sind.
