Her colleague at Emory, Professor Thomas Remington, served as book reviews editor during this time and was succeeded in that capacity by Professor Barbara Ann Chotiner of the University of Alabama. Professor Joseph Wieczynski of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University assumed the journal’s editorial duties in 1989 and in 1992 oversaw the change of this publication’s name to its current title. The following fifteen years saw a change in publisher from Charles Schlacks to Brill (the current publisher of this journal) and the tenure of my predecessor, Professor Vladimir P. Buldakov of the Institute of History at the Russian Academy of Sciences. In addition, I would like to acknowledge the invaluable assistance of book reviews editor and SPSR
