It has been published since 1998 by the Victimology Society of Serbia and the European Movement in Serbia. The journal was originally started in 1997 as the Bulletin of the Group for Women's Rights of the European Movement in Serbia. Soon after the foundation of the Victimology Society on 12 November 1997, Temida became a joint project of the Victimology Society and the Group for Women's Rights. Through the journal Temida, which comes out as a quarterly in Serbian (and occasionally in English), readers are kept informed about recent developments regarding research and practical help to victims of crime, as well as about the activities of the VS Society, the GWR, and similar organizations. TeJnida publish- es academic and professional articles, which can be understood by a wider pub- lic and which use gender-specific language.
