A New Species of Longidorus (Nematoda: Longidoridae) Associated With Forest Soils and Notes On L.... A NEW SPECIES OF LONGIDORUS (NEMATODA: LONGIDORIDAE) ASSOCIATED WITH FOREST SOILS AND NOTES ON L. CONGOENSIS ABOUL-EID, 1970 AND L. INTERMEDIUS KOZLOWSKA & SEINHORST, 1979, NEW RECORDS FOR SPAIN BY MA FE ANDRES and MARIA ARIAS Instituto de Edafologia y Biologia Vegetal (CSIC) c/Serrano, 115 Dpdo. 28006 Madrid (Spain) Longidorus pini sp. n. is described from Spain. It was found around roots of Pinus sylvestris L., Quercus pyrenaica L., Juncus sp. and pasture soil. It is characterized by its medium size, slightly expanded lip region, symmetrically bilobed amphidial pouches and conical tail. It is close to L. distinctus Lamberti, Choleva & Agostinelli, 1983; L. latocephalus Lamberti, Choleva & Agostinelli, 1983; L. carpetanensis Arias, Andres & Navas, 1986 and L. juvenilis Dalmasso, 1969. It differs from L. distinctus in odontostyle length, lip region and amphid shape, position of guide ring and vulva and c' index; from L. latocephalus in odontostyle and tail lengths, situation of guide ring and c' index; from L. carpetanensis in body and odontostyle lengths, c' index, tail shape and guide ring location and from L. juvenilis in having a longer and more slender body, different amphid shape and guide ring position.
