TWO NEW SPECIES OF HEMICYCLIOPHORA (NEMATODA: CRICONEMATIDAE) WITH A NOTE ON HEMICYCLIOPHORA RITTERI 1 ) BY W. R. JENKINS AND J. P. REED Department of Entomology, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S.A. Hemicycliophora mettleri n. sp. and H. silvestris n. sp. are described and figured from woodland areas in New Jersey. Additional measurements and descriptive data are given for H. ritteri Brizuela. During a survey of nematodes of woodland areas in New Jersey, samples from two locations contained two species of Hemicycliophora which differed from those previously described. The specimens were heat relaxed in water and fixed in warm F : A : A solution. They were then processed to glycerin by the Seinhorst method (1959), mounted on slides, and sealed with Zut. Measurements were made with the aid of an ocular micrometer and with camera lucida tracings. A third species was found about roots of cranberry, Vaccinium macro carpum , and subsequently identified as H. ritteri Brizuela, 1963. Additional data are pre- sented for this species. HEMICYCLIOPHORA METTLERI N. SP. (Fig. 1, A-D) 29 Females L = 1.35 mm (1.18-1.59 mm); a = 28.3 (23-38); b = 5.6 (5.1- 6.3) ; c = 11.6 (10.6-12.7); V
