159 His previous biographers had some conception of this, but the fact was never actually established. Dr. Simone Bergmans considers his "Peasant Interior", in the Musée Meyer Van den Bergh at Antwerp, as a painting of the Aertsen family. On the other hand, she identifies the "Unknown Young Man", in the Musée Royal des Beaux-Arts at Antwerp, as Pieter Pieters, son of Pieter Aertsen, and attributes this work to Pieter Aertsen himself and not to Lambert Lombard, as stated in the catalogue. Bij een schilderij van Paulus Moreelse door JAN LAUWERIKS. nlangs zag ik in het werk van Le Brun : "Galeries des Peintres", 1792, een gravure naar een schil- derij van den bekenden Utrechtschen meester Paulus Moreelse (1571- 1638), voorstellende een meisje, dat twee duiven voedt (Afb. 1). Deze schilder, vooral bekend door zijn voortreffelijke portretten, schilderde ook mythologische en symbolische voorstellin- gen, waartoe ook deze compositie behoort.
